However, my journey to creating BOOKGEMS wasn't straightforward. I once dreamt of being a librarian, immersing myself in the quiet sanctuary of books. But, as it turned out, the quiet was too quiet for someone like me, whose heart beats in stories but whose spirit dances in color and conversation. So, I had to find another way to share my love for books with the world.

That's when BOOKGEMS was born. It started in my living room, surrounded by piles of books and the bookmarks I'd made for each. I poured my passion into designing and crafting book accessories that spoke to fellow book lovers, to you.

Seeking inspiration and quality, I ventured to China, spending two years exploring, learning, and collaborating with skilled artisans. This journey was about bringing back not just products but stories and a piece of the world to our community. Some of our gems are my own creations, while others are the result of meticulous selection and quality checks from workshops that share our values.
